Title: "Universal Format", the format of the cards was changed, with the illustration frame reduced, the text field enlarged, and the way attack and defense power are written. This format continued until THE SHINING DARKNESS in the sixth series. Note that the cards in the third series, including this pack, tend to be printed in more vivid colors than the cards in the packs of the other series. Includes cards used by Jonouchi, Malik, and Bakura in the original work. In particular, there are many cards used by Malik. A new category, Gravekeeper's Dragon, is introduced. Five cards have experience with banned or restricted cards: Soul-Sweeping Specter, Royal Tribute, Brilliant Deduction, Terraforming, and Mutation. The reprint card is Red-Eyes Black Dragon. The clash between Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Hellpoemer, the Poet in the commercial is likely a reference to the battle between Jonouchi and Dark Marik in the original, but at this point Jonouchi's deck does not contain Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and this battle does not take place.
