As the anime moved from DM to GX, Yugi disappeared from the pack packaging. The narration for the commercials was also changed to the voice actor who played Judai (KENN). As the next set included cards that appeared in the anime GX, the package illustrations now feature monsters from the anime. Therefore, a regular pack with a monster not from the anime on the package illustration did not appear for over 15 years until RISE OF THE DUELIST. In the existing categories, LV is included. In addition, the series cards include Emperor, Element, and Fusion Seal Creatures. Five cards have experience as banned or restricted cards: Rescue Cat, Phoenix God of Nepthys, Lightning Vortex, Goblin Management Expert, and Evil Deck Destruction Virus.
