BEFORE：ガーディアンの力 　NEXT：混沌を制す者 　2003年2月20日発売。 　略号は「305」。 　第３期第５弾となるこのパックのパッケージイラストは闇遊戯と《迅雷の魔王−スカル・デーモン》・《ジェノサイドキングデーモン》が務めている。 　キャッチコピーは「悪魔族デーモンの脅威が世界を襲う。」 原作においてイシズとリシドが使用したカードを収録。 また、カードとしては登場していない《闇の支配者−ゾーク》がカード化された。 新たなカテゴリとして黒蠍・デーモンが登場。 デーモンを始めとして、多数の悪魔族モンスターが収録されている。 《ガガギゴ》・《異次元トレーナー》・《迷犬マロン》・《強欲ゴブリン》等、イラスト・フレイバー・テキストにストーリー性があるモンスターが多く収録されている。 パック名に反し、《闇魔界の戦士 ダークソード》の関連カードは収録されていない。 これら背景ストーリーに関する考察は《闇魔界の覇王》を参照。 後の環境に「月読命ライン」を形成して禁止カードとなった《月読命》が現れる。 《炸裂装甲》も《聖なるバリア −ミラーフォース−》の厳しい規制下においてモンスター除去の指標となり活躍した。 他にも、おジャマ三人衆の先陣を切る《おジャマ・グリーン》、【ミーネ・ウイルス】のキーカードである《黒蠍−棘のミーネ》、炎属性唯一の儀式モンスターの座を12年務める事となった《伝説の爆炎使い》、ロックデッキの勝ち筋に変革をもたらした《終焉のカウントダウン》など、個性的なカード群が登場している。 このパックからファラオの遺産までの間、ウルトラレアのカード１種類にアルティメットレアが存在するようになった。 一方で、一部のシークレットレアに存在したアルティメットレアは廃止されている。 再録カードは《暗黒魔族ギルファー・デーモン》。BEFORE: The Power of the Guardian NEXT: The One Who Controls Chaos Released on February 20, 2003. The abbreviation is "305". The package illustration for this pack, the fifth in the third series, features Yami Yugi, Skull Demon, and Genocide King Demon. The tagline is "The threat of Demon-type Demons attacks the world." Includes cards used by Ishizu and Rishid in the original work. Also, Zork, Ruler of Darkness, which has not appeared as a card, has been made into a card. A new category, Black Scorpion Demon, has been introduced. Including Demons, many Demon-type monsters are included. Many monsters with story elements in their illustrations, flavor, and text are included, such as Gagagigo, Dimensional Trainer, Stray Dog Maron, and Greedy Goblin. Contrary to the name of the pack, there are no cards related to Dark Sword, Warrior of the Dark Demon World. For an analysis of these background stories, see Overlord of the Dark Demon World. In a later environment, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto appeared, forming the "Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto Line" and becoming a banned card. Explosive Armor also played an important role as a guide for monster removal under the strict regulations of Sacred Barrier - Mirror Force. Other unique cards that appeared included Ojama Green, the vanguard of the Ojama Trio; Black Scorpion - Mine of the Thorns, the key card of Mine Virus; Legendary Explosive User, the only Fire-attribute ritual monster for 12 years; and Countdown to the End, which revolutionized the winning strategy of lock decks. From this pack until Legacy of the Pharaoh, one type of ultra rare card became an ultimate rare. However, the ultimate rares that were in some secret rares have been abolished. The reprinted card is "Dark Demon Gilfer Demon."
